Sally started by training as a classical dancer at the Arts Educational Schools in Tring, Hertfordshire where she soon realised acting was the direction in which she wanted to go and in 1977, the associated Board of the Royal Schools Of Music presented her with an award for the highest achievements in Drama throughout Great Britain and Northern Ireland. She went on to train for three years at the London Arts Educational Schools in Golden Lane, winning the accolade for Style in Acting in 1981 and from there she went straight into Rep. at Hornchurch.
Since then, she has continued with her first love, the theatre, working for companies who are somewhat physically and visually orientated with a strong ensemble belief. Her work with Red Shift Theatre Company won her great praise from the critics for all three shows, her Gertrude being desribed as 'the best I have ever seen' and as Julianna Bordereau in 'The Aspern Papers', 'this brilliant and incisive actress...'
